Vinyasa & Power Yoga in Bali

Breath-led, dynamic flow that builds real strength and heat — taught privately at your villa, scaled precisely to your level. Sunrise by the pool is the slot everyone fights for.

Strong vinyasa power yoga flow at sunrise beside a Bali villa pool

Vinyasa is the style most people picture when they think of modern yoga: movement linked to breath, one pose flowing into the next, a practice that builds heat, strength and focus. It's also the style where a private class makes the biggest difference. In eight years of teaching flow classes across Bali — and with a 500-hour YTT specialising in sequencing — I've seen how easily group vinyasa becomes cardio with yoga shapes: too fast to align, too crowded to correct. Privately, we flow at the speed your breath sets, and every chaturanga gets checked before your shoulders pay for it.

What to Expect

  • Intelligent sequencing: each class builds toward something — a peak pose, an arm balance, hip opening — instead of random shapes in a row.
  • Power options: if you want to work, we work: longer holds, slow transitions, core-led floating. Power yoga here means strength with control, not collapse with sweat.
  • Real alignment: chaturanga, jump-throughs and wheel are taught honestly, with regressions until your body is ready. This is where private classes protect your shoulders and lower back for years ahead.
  • Sunrise energy: 06:00 by your pool, before the heat — the most-booked slot we have, for good reason.

Couples and villa groups flow together at the group rate — vinyasa works brilliantly with two to four people of similar energy. Everything else is on the pricing page.

How Home Classes Work

You need 2 x 3 metres of flat, grippy space per person — we bring high-grip mats, which matters once a flow gets sweaty. Sunrise (06:00–08:00) and sunset (17:00–19:00) are ideal: cooler air, better energy, and the pool right there for afterwards. If you surf, vinyasa pairs beautifully with wave days; many of our students alternate it with yin for recovery — we wrote about that balance in yoga for surfers. Vinyasa & Power Yoga — Questions

Is vinyasa too hard for a beginner?
Not privately. We slow the flow down, simplify transitions and build you up over a few classes. If you have zero experience, the beginner course is the smoother entry point.
What's the difference between vinyasa and power yoga?
Same DNA, different intensity. Vinyasa emphasises breath-led flow and variety; power yoga adds longer holds, more core and strength work. In a private class we blend the two to match your energy that day.
I surf — will this help or wreck my shoulders?
Done right, it helps: we balance pushing strength with opening the chest and shoulders that paddling tightens. Read our yoga for surfers guide, and mix in yin on rest days.
How sweaty does it get?
Expect to work — power flows in Bali humidity are honest exercise. We schedule the intense classes at sunrise or sunset, bring grippy mats, and you have a pool three metres away.
Can two people of different fitness levels flow together?
Yes — the teacher layers each sequence so one of you can take the stronger variation. For very different levels, two separate private classes sometimes serve you better; we'll advise honestly.
